8 Mar. Calif.: Mendocino Co.,
but animals not abundant. A final
stop at: 1½ mi. S., 8 mi. W. Yoloville
produced Oreides lugubris, flavipunctatus,
Scleropus, Dladophis, Batrachoseps. This
species taken at other stops as well
by rest of party. Weather, warm, sunny,
clear. Soil under objects, except very
large logs, usually completely dry.
9 Mar. Calif.: Sonoma Co., vicinity of Sibago Springs
Helen Jordan and I made trip to this locality
with objective of collecting large numbers of
Scleropus for Plasmodium parasites and
determining reproductive state of Triturus.
Weather: heavy overcast; light, steady, misty,
rain. Both T. granulosus and rivularis
breeding in streams. Scleropus, Oreides lugubris,
Oreides flavipunctatus, Rana boylii, Enneceos
drilitorianus seen or collected.

Visited Triturus study area 0845-0910 hrs.
16 Mar. Calif.: Napa Co.
Helen Jordan and I collected Scleropus and
Triturus at various places in this county.
(See T. torosus and granulosus). Weather: overcast
with intermittent light rain. Oaks just
beginning to leaf out. "Redbud" in bloom.
