Several pair amplexing in cattail area by "lake level" gauge. None on land. Soil completely saturated. At Pinchurst 1145-1215 hrs. Stream still high and murky. Soil saturated. Several DOR's. Marked one juvenile #118. 20Dec. Calif.: Lake Co. One day drive to Clear Lake and back for purpose of seeing property near Clear Lake Park. About four hours drive to Lakeport via State Highway 29 from Berkeley. Captured one Triturus on return trip. No time for additional collecting. 6Jan. Calif. Contra Costa Co. Visited only Lafayette study area. Triturus in water and amplexing. 13 Jan. Visited Pinchurst only. Stream still high but clear. No Triturus seen. 10 Feb. Visited both Triturus study areas.
