W. Rieman 1958 Journal 4 Apr. Mexico: Chiapas: 6 mi. SE San Cristobal, 7300 ft. habitat of the two species of Eceloporus, of Bothrops, Pitophis and Bolitoglossa. That was done. Also I went to top of ridge to W of cut-over area the ridge where Pitelka has been watching jays. On way up I took a red-faced warbler, an acorn woodpecker and on top a hummingbird. The top of this ridge is densely covered with vegetation but not of the high pine sort on the opposite more open ridge. Here bromeliads are very abundant, low on trees as well as in the upper branches and broad leaves predominate. On returning to camp took one Eceloporus on rocks on steep slope leading to ridge. C. Hoford later in day brought in one of each of the two species of Eceloporus from this area as well as a salamander. Afternoon spent pulling up skins. In evening shot peewee near camp. This is the last of ten days at this camp. During that time took three species of snakes, four species of lizards, one species of salamander and two species of anurans. 5 Apr. Mexico: Chiapas: 28 mi. ESE Comitan, 4900 ft. San Jose Broke camp in morning and drove vertically all day to this locality. The road to Comitan is dirt but no doubt passable in any weather. Beyond Comitan the road is a mere
