21 Aug. Colorado, Larimer Co., Estes Park to Jackson Co., Rand.
spot. None found nor any really suitable
situation as recalled from Mt. Lyeell
habitat. Not enough rock on rock
More wet to water 4.2°C. Water temp. 1.3°C.
situations where water trickles over.
Continued to U.S. 40 and then over State
Hwy 125 to Rand after dark. Camped at
Rand.
22 Aug. Colorado, Jackson Co., Rand to Mr. Rabbit Ears
Peak. Spent morning on notes. At
noon collected two Pseudacris and
a young T. e. wagiana in marshy area
in Rand. Did not look like P. sylvatica
territory - our objective in the area -
so drove to Grizzly Creek Campground
in Routt Nat'l Forest, 10.9 mi. W Hebron
in Jackson Co. and worked down stream
½ mi. to large beaver pond. Took
P. pipiens, B. boreas, Pseudacris.
Returning to Hebron stopped near
school 7.1 mi. W town where short
search again made for sylvatica.
Saw P. pipiens, took B. boreas,
P. migrata. Then drove down State
Hwy 14 to spot SE Rabbit Ears
Peak where camp set up for night.
