W. Reimer 1949 Journal 19 Aug. Colorado, Denver to Morgan Co., Ft. Morgan. Leaving the University which has a beautiful campus and splendid setting against the mountains we drove E.-ward on State 7 and U.S. 6 to Ft. Morgan. Along way picked up two T. ornata LOR and noted one TOR in vicinity Roggen in Weld Co. Also near here stopped to extinguish small grass fire started by passing train. Might have blown into serious proportions because of high gusty winds. Reached Ft. Morgan at dark and camped just N. of town on the S. Platte River. Rained heavily during night. 20 Aug. Colorado, Morgan Co., Ft. Morgan to Larimer Co., Estes Park. In morning returned to point 5 mi. WSW Wiggins in Weld Co. to collect in sand hill region. Close to Empire Reservoir collected Heterodon nasicus, Pituophis catenifer, Holbrookia maculata, S. undulatus, Ennomos multivirgatus, T. ornata. Noted that large walking sticks were abundant on plants as they were on pavement last evening between Roggen and Wiggins. In afternoon returning to U.S. Hwy 34 drove W.-ward to Estes
