W. Rieger 1949 Journal 17 Aug. Colorado, has Animas Co., Sopris to Pueblo Co., Pueblo In morning just before breaking camp found single S. undulatus in trash dump where we had camped. On regaining dirt highway picked up a S. hammondii hopping on road in bright sunlight at 0900 hours. Picked up mail in Trinidad and performed some personal chores. Driving N-ward on U.S. Hwy 85-87 stopped 1.9 mi. SE Aguilar where one S. undulatus taken under a stone slab. Short- glass prairie with pinyon pinon-juniper covered hills 1/4 mi. W. Grass partially dried, short yucca, cholla, prickly pear, sunflowers along road. 8.1 mi. NNW Aguilar picked up DOR C. viridio still in good condition. Santa Clara Creek 300 yds away. Stopped again at 9.9 mi. NNW Aguilar to examine abandoned house and debris. Bob- took P. douglasii and S. undulatus and I took one Sorex. Then drove on to Pueblo where camped for night. 18 Aug. Colorado, Pueblo Co., Pueblo to Denver Continuing N-ward on Hwy 85-87 stopped at 4.3 mi. SE Colorado Springs at Fountain Creek bridge where succeeded
