W. Riemer 1949 Journal 14 Aug. New Mexico, Sandaval Co., to Santa Fe Co., Santa Fe. ready to give up Bob found an adult salander. Further search by myself in immediate vicinity produced no more. Bob later tried slope - original locality on level ground - and soon found one more. In relatively short time had taken 18 all adults or near adults. All except first in or under rotten logs on moderate slope, in damp spots where water could be squeezed from wood between fingers. See R. Stelbin's notes for details on first specimen locality. Almost every other log of a rotten nature produced a specimen. When too dark to hunt further drove on to Santa Fe where camp set up for night. Actual collection locality 1.2 mi. W. intersection of State Hwy 4 and road to Cochiti Pueblo (23 mi.) and Bland (7 mi.) Got map (topo) for specific map of area for this place
