W. Riemer 1949 Journal 24 July Arizona, Cochise Co., 10.5 mi. NNE Douglas to Graham Co., vicinity of Calva U.S. Hwy 70. Speculation before examination named as being present, B. insider, cognatus, S. hammondii and couchii. Collection revealed all present except couchii which turned out to be woodhouseii. This sounds much different to me than the woodhouseii recorded in detail in Utah and very much the same as couchii heard last night. All species except insider collected and P. Stolbrin verified its identification in pond. Continuing on NW-ward that evening entered area where it had not apparently rained for several days at least and since pavement warm probably had been sunny during most of day. Between Geronimo and Calva picked up 1 each of Oregon, Rhinocleides and C. atryp (record only) Atryp a DOR 17.8 mi. E Pinal-Graham Co. line and U.S. Hwy 70. Camped for night near Calva. 25 July Arizona, Graham Co., vicinity Calva to Gila Co., Rose Creek Canyon. Spent morning writing notes. Starting at 1400 hours head for Rose Creek area N of Roosevelt Lake. Stopped only for short period on State Hwy 88 to look for Xantusia arizonae. Some of rocks
