Returned to Fort. After dark checked pool in Fry where garter snakes taken yesterday but found nothing of interest except for collecting few more of meta- morphosing toads. Returning to house or post about 20 30 picked up S. hammondii adults (2) on road into Fort gate and 1 large B. woodhousii. Hospitality of Mr. Merritt has been very generous and pleasant, the information though limited, useful. Interest in our party chiefly because he was formerly Controller of U.C. Mr. Morrow of Fish and Game (?) on Fort knows Huachucas well.
