W. Reiner 1949 Journal 12 July Vicinity Yuma, Yuma Co., Arizona West oil to dune area W of Winterhaven right after breakfast. Objective, to get pictures of area. I took one shot of Yuma notata habitat including dune and Palo Verde tree. Spotted two Yuma ? which Ernie shot one. (See R. Stelbrin's catalogue). Nirosaurs sp.(?) (probably) present in one of Palo Verde trees. Could not capture. Further search produced none. Tracks of Chionactis (?) seen. Returning to junction U.S. Hwy #80 and rd. to Laguna Dam (on Calif. side) stopped to search railroad trestle and willows for Nirosaurs ornatus. Trestle yielded nothing as did willows but 3 taken on trunks of mesquite screw- bean or straight (?) in willow association. Later while writing notes on grounds of Public Library in Yuma Ernie found about one Nirosaurs per tree. That is hunting the easy way. Near trestle Ernie also brought in B. woodhouseii and a DOR Sonora semiannulata linearis. 12 July Yuma to 6.9 mi. WSW Gila Bend, Maricopa Co., Ariz. Left Yuma going eastward on U.S. Hwy 80. Terrain low, sandy, with sparse vegetation in general,
