Stebbins notes. 29 June Sevier Co. to Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park, Garfield Co., Utah Broke camp at 1300 after working over notes during morning, Checked B. woodhousii locality for tadpoles but found none. Many huge carp (?) present. Collected single S. undulatus SSW junction 12.5 mi., and 1 S. gracilis and T. elegans 19.2 mi. SSW junction. At former locality undulatus taken at tip of huge rock pinnacle while small rocks near ground inhabited by many gracilis. Is this the ecological segregation factor. Leaving U.S. 89 turned on State 12 to Bryce Canyon. Camped in main camp area near entrance. Took many color shots of canyon in evening and morning 30 June. Yellow Pine, begin to appear at 7000 ft. in this area, at Red Canyon entrance to park. 30 June Bryce Canyon to Zion Nat'l Park, Washington Co., Utah Left Bryce at 1150 after writing notes during morning. In Sinh Valley SE Alton 4 mi. spent much of afternoon
