W. Reiner 1949 Journal 26 June Utah, Utah Co., 7.6 mi. (by rd.) E Springville, Hobble Creek. Morning spent bringing notes up to date. Afternoon spent collecting in canyon bottom and on more gently sloping sides. Weather overcast and occasionally raining lightly. Sun had shone some during morning. 2 Sceloporus taken during early afternoon when rocks still warm. Nothing at all seen during remainder of afternoon. Weather (?) responsible for poor collecting; no time was it necessary to wear more than T-shirt. All three of us walked down rd. at dusk but could find no specimens on rd. or under logs. Night hawks and bats of various kinds abundant at dusk. 27 June Hobble Creek to 22.5 mi. ESE Desert, Millard Co., Utah. Broke camp 0845 and drove to Provo to pick up first mail of trip. Then all three of us collected Pseudacris nigrita and Rana pipiens. At noon were on way SW toward Delta in Millard Co., on U.S. Hwy 6. Noted Pituophis catenifer DOR for record, only in Utah Co. just E final Co. line on U.S. Hwy #6. At 1500 hours stopped 13.4 mi SSW Euraka in rolling desert situation and made collection of Ultras and Chamaephorus. Pituophis
