Side trip To Preston and White Water Canyon made to see locality for Champropetti's pyronelama but not attained because of poor road conditions. 23 June 20 mi NNE Ely, White Pine Co., Nevada to Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah. Broke camp at 1110 and drove NE to Wendover on Utah-Mevada line. Weather cool and partially cloudy and no collecting done except a few DOR's recorded - see R. Stelbuis catalogue, notes. Terrain typical (rocky outcroppings in hills and non-rocky sage brush flats), Nevada. Enter barren salt flats and flooded areas immediately over Utah line which continues half way to S. L. City. E of saline flats is more sage desert with beautiful stratified outcrops of rock. Considerable irrigation, approaching town. Might spent in canyon just behind Capital Building. 24 June Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah Morning spent talking with Keith Kelson, a very
