15 June Enroute to southern Calif.
Left Berkeley 0830. Driving M.V.Z.
truck followed Stelbri's family to
Mrs. Stelbri's home in Van Nuys.
Trip without incident. This is first
leg I proposed 3 month tour of
western states excluding Oregon and
Washington. Objective: To gain
first hand acquaintance with the
several species of herbs occurring
in the area and determine habitat
preferences of same. Trip supported
by Guggenheim Fellowship in
charge of R.C. Stelbri's. Members of
party are R.C. Stelbri's - leader,
E. Stelbri's and myself as assistants.
Arrive at Stelbri's home 2020 15 June.
Spent next day and half with my
folks.
