W. Riemer 1949 Journal 8 Apr. M.V.Z. 13 Triturus taken in Tilden Regional Parke, Contra Costa Co. and in captivity since 25 Mar. were subjected to injections of hog pituitary anterior lobe extract in following pattern: 7 (♂♂+♀♀) each injected with 1 cc extract suspension. 6 (♂♂+♀♀) each injected with 1 cc Cold-blooded Ringers, as controls. Animals under identical conditions in adjacent aquaria. Suspension compounded as follows: 4 qms dry eXtract ground into suspension and diluted to make 50 cc solution. Each 1 cc injection therefore equal to .08 grams dry extract. Injections made with large needle into peritoneal cavity. Following table indicates dosage data Date shour Amount Exper.
