Cranial floor as pinkish blob.
After severing connections with needle, can be removed with pipette. Implanted into gular region just anterior to heart by inserting into cavity made under skin. In this case a breeding male was donor and a gravid & host. Both had been in lab for 2 weeks. Purpose of operation only to establish technique & procedure. Also attempted with another & to cut into body cavity, remove eggs and sew back up. Ovaries very poorly developed. In sewing back up the following found to be best procedure. Use single nylon thread and tie off each stitch individually. Animals narcotized for operations with 1 cc saturated solution chloroform in ½ strength C.B. Ringers. Solution injected interperitoneally
