Night caused stream to be
very much swollen and extremely
muddy. Stream course was
thoroughly flushed. 3
new animals taken in area
Sheet 1 and one recapture.
Sheet 2 completed.
25 Mar. Tilden Regional Park, Contra Costa Co., Calif.
0830-1000 spend in search for
Triturus of both sexes and eggs in
Wildcat Creek at NW end of park.
Water lower than 2 weeks previous
but still too murky to see in
deptths over 4-5 inches. ?T very
common. At almost any point
of stream where flow suitable
one or more ?T could be seen.
Only 6 ?? found during that
period. 3 egg clusters also taken
and appear to be undeveloped.

animal. Gland reached by
cutting away roof of cranium
and lifting out brain. Then gland
found lying in depression in
