W. Rainer 1948 Journal 29 July Riverside, Riverside Co., Calif. To Riverside made on 27 July. On this date Jerry and Joe Klotz and myself attempted ascent of San Gorgonio. Because I miscalculated length of trail - actually about 10 miles each way - the summit was not reached. However, no sign of habitat suitable for Hydromantes was seen though ascent continued to 10,100 ft.
