20 July This road covered on morning
of date. Traverses a seemingly
lower Sonoran zone though
Pseudotringa were frequent
at higher spots. Ground
cover chiefly of sage and
similar desert growth averaging
about 3 feet in height. Area
rocky and in places sparsely
vegetated. Brush rabbits
and mice on road very
common. May be very
good road for night
collecting I reptiles. Arrived
close to noon at my home
in Los Angeles. Continued
on to Newport Beach that
same afternoon.
