Riener 1948 Journal Camp Curry, Yosemite National Park, Mariposa Co., Calif. .... Though some search made under logs and other forest debris no herps seen. Many numerous granite boulders in area seemingly ideal for Sceloporus; but none seen. Weather: warm to hot. 29 June While fishing in area just up- stream from yesterday captured one small Thamnophis, saw one large snake swimming in creek, thought to be a Pituophis though may possibly be a very large T. o. couchii? Much searching in what appeared perfect situations revealed no herps. One Sceloporus seen on granite boulders. Stebbins thinks nice series of Sceloporus might be taken in Tenaya Canyon ranging from S. o. occid- entalis and S. o. taylori. 1 July During recreational hike to Vernal Falls captured two of three Sceloporus seen. All S. g. graciosus and present only in spots apparently
