Between Seacapan and Puerta del Rio, Sinaloa, Mexico
and moved about ½ mile downstream
I set out what traps I had / steel trap 2 mouse
traps and one rat trap, baiting them with
peanut butter.
Dec. 25
The mornings in this area are very foggy and,
camped where we were under the trees,
our sleeping bags were very wet from the
drops of condensation dropping from the leaves.
Checked my traps and had a rat in my
rat trap. After breakfast went out to see
what life was around and shot a white
finited panot. As it was, we broke camp
after breakfast and got on our way so it
was not possible to get to the panot in time
and it was finally prepared as a skeleton. While
moving through the mangroves we spotted
an iguana perched on the limbs of a
mangrove. It was shot with 22 dust and
retrieved. After an eventful trip through
the mangroves we finally got back to
Huanacastle where they gave us a short
dinner and we got on our way to San
Blas. We arrived in San Blas about
10:00 PM and took a room at the Belmar
Hotel
