Oct 2 Sagehen Cr basin 6400 ft 3 mi NW Hobart Mills
Nevada Co., 25 mouse traps set out on north
side of stream 1/4 mile above Sagehen Camp,
One mole trap set in meadow meadow 1/2 mile
below camp. Also set 6 pair of gopher traps
in same meadow. Set out eight skyler
traps in rock slide on north side of Sagehen road,
Rock slide located about 1.5 miles above camp.
Caught in traps set out by Seth Benson the previous
night, were about 3 Peromyscus maniculatus
and about 9 specimens of Eutamias amoenus
and E speciosus. Caught in a Skyler set
by Bob Hoffmann, was a Chickeree. A
dead Microtus was used. Benson also shot
an other specimen during the day. live traps

Oct 30 Trip to cabin one mile South of Inverness
Marin County, went to location 3 miles
West of Inverness where Seth Benson had
set 9 steel traps in hopes of catching mountain
beaver (Aplodontia). Checked traps and removed
two woodrats (Neotoma) nothms else, left
