215. Acer grandidentatum, Nutt. Frequent in the Washoe Mts., + sometimes
though rarely attaining 1" in diam. + 30-40" in height. The leaf is like that of
A. macrophyllum, Ph. as figured in Hook. Fl. 2. t. 86, but and exceeding
3-4" in diameter. Flowers loosely compound. Fruit broadly winged.

in the Washoe Mts. More than a shrub; leaves ternate or merely
3-lobed on the same branch.
