Compare with authentic specimens of C. lusitanica, collected in Mexico by Dr. Haldimand & by
Dr. Coulter, the only considerable difference is in the shape of the leaves for of the seeds. In e.
M. 139 — an abruptly acute, nearly globular, with a short + straight acumination, in
having a larger outline within the radical calyx?
Three specimens Maryland, the length exceeds the width by half, with a curved acumination.
L.C. 245 — the pod on less prominent or even depressed at the top, the base projected forward — the chart-style
usually deciduous, same as described. Flower same in both. It is also Torrey's
No. 38, "Stevens saline plains, Humboldt County, Nev." a tall (1°) specimen.
139 = C. lusitana, Dror. — var. grandiflora — Tall (1°) — 69 Anderson is some
thing. The end on the same but larger, than any much larger, than g. lusitana
branched as those of 137+? — 579 brigs in Humb. Gray, at 1269 feet, an ordinary pub’ high, branching
except for the drift and it might be lusitana what?
What in this? (Drury)
128 — probably var. near the last. 457 Wright 1851 seems the same, with seeds
exactly of C. lusitana 1269 feet, a tall spec (1°) — Ford. C. lusitana, May 70, Md.
