Cf. with L. alpestre. The pods are not infrequently but four
seeds, leaving no distinction between it & L. montanum. It seems
to accord perfectly with Dubibian specimen figured by H&T & L. alpestre?
creeps that the flowers as usually, but not always somewhat longer. The
distinctions between the species seem trifling.
This species Duthler includes L. cajus, Ht., & L. platyphyllos, Ht.
L. filipes & L. pterocarpum are variable & the development of the
membranous wing somewhat apical, as L. radiata, Ht. & L.
Laciniata, Ht. (which includes his L. ornithopoda, in the upper district, as
also L. spinulosa, Ht. [L. stellatiflora, Ht.])
Spinulose again. - Longland's spring cistus in Ht. 9.
is evidently the same as Willard's aurea.
It is like nothing in Herb. Barry, which is all rotting - but no vivid apical
line. I believe it a good species, whether Hooker's or not
Make in var. 9.
