24 anderson, "near Comity", is bickled in cardinalis, but it has pleonous anthers & it is
a shrub-like plant - the only one from our Calif
64 I cannot from the descriptions, my own eyes, or those in the herbarium, discern the limits
between its species in latifolia, glabrata, & propinquus, which - draw here all the smaller
planted forms appearing the most in globulars of the Herb, as is the case with
the larger forms, they are not so frequently minutely glandular (submucous).
M. jamaicensis is more distinct in its habit though sometimes referred to globularus
hypocry.
