leans platyvous or but slightly pubescent as is not surprising Corre the size & shape of leaf, it is also A. tormentosa the case in anthracis sp. of the species (L'd. It. R. S. T.) The leaves vary in size & shape, being either under or acute at base, broadly ovate, oval or oblong in the same plant - a form of many specimens in the herbarium labelled A. juniperus. But this plant is not Trichodes as A. juniperus is described to be, which should be named A. Uva Ursi That a glaucia, A. tormentosa has exactly the habit, the smooth red bark, corked growth, etc if [illegible] species. The species sprout from the Wistah Mtn. (the most certain locality in which it has been found) or a low from 1-2' high, readily distinguished from A. tormentosa by the glabrous fruits. It might be considered an approach to A. juniperus, but it has perfectly The [illegible] habit, the smooth red bark, corked closely growth of A. glaucia, without any resemblance whatever to A. Uva Ursi with which the "prototype" A. juniperus is compared.
