The same plethron from [2] (the manuscript is faded)
Same as Bell 504, ticked P. Plattensis, 'hutt. var.' — alpine species. This matthall describes his spp.
as common on the plains of the Helle, Matthall's spp. in Herkimer & is perhaps a form of
P. Densifolia (has the leaflets arranged 3, mostly subequal). They are also the same as inflorescences
and an additional P. Plattensis as described in 749, pl. 1, fig. 1 —
Matthall's spp. from the Black Hills, collected by him 'P. canaquistis'. Barry's 216 is also evidently the
same (cited by Lehman). It seems to be closely related to ordinary
+161 Hott. (a form)
322' is more silky, concave form of the same — [illegible]
[illegible] but thin with the long slender style. Bifurcated point shows a smooth
tusk, deeply adhering with cuneate apex, somewhat branched base & minutely margined
surface of attachment to the receptacle.
P. Platifolia, Gr. (194 found in Herb. Torr.) seems to be exactly 332
[illegible] P. Plattensis in Herb. Torr., is comparatively glabrous, 6' high — leaves broadly ovate &
leaves like a simple Densifolia, stem fibrous, leaflets basally pinnae — a var. Trichophylla
is 2-3' high & more pubescent. — 504 found from Wind River, has more numerous leaflets
This is apparently identical with P. Congarica, Kempf — ix Dec. + fig. in Liban &
sp. from Herb. Obad. — Herb. Petrop. in Herb. Gr.
P. Densifolia, var. glauca of Phyllis, Lehm. = 171 Variety — 219 Var. — Grommadii, Bourg.
