5/28 Rd and I took a rather rapid trip to Otavalo from Quito via Salatari. Only 2 hours! The drive was nice. If my car were near any people or site he always looked at her. Cayande was logged in so we could not see the mt. From Otavalo we took a taxi (so never in 2+ year) to Cotocachi where we met the people from the ministry of Agriculture. The min max, a humour sort, proved to be most accommodating. We also were praised with 2 flashkits. One is an exact replica of Donor style. In Cocada yet! After a trip back to Otavalo to log Lord (120 pieces of wood) we headed at fully loaded on a 4x4 Nissan Patrol We passed first through the fertile inter anden valleys then entered dry scrub. After turning off a narrow dirt road we travelled in scrub with mud oputia (god ripe tomato) which springs off are in all on hands. after several hours up and down we were drunk we began to freak through it.
