June 6 Friday,
vicinity of camp
going up a ridge running west from camp
that forms a divide between rio verde
and Rio Lita drainage. Spectacular forest.
Collected from 1800 - 1770 meters.
as we walked up the ridge there were
few palms & one tree fern (Larger too!)
The forest became a little more open in that
there were not as many tall trees and more
smaller trees. Epiphytes were rare previously
and species which were infrequent at 1700
were abundant at 1600/700m.
