released inside the pen; the bird then
flew to a "perch" clinging to the
fencing at the top of the gate in
A-1.
3) Imm. ♀ LT. GREEN, recapture. #8
primary 3/4 grown on this bird.
4) Ad. ♀ #56605. Primaries #8, 9,
#10 sheathed, #9 and 10 3/4 the
length of the others.
5) Imm. ♀ BLUE, recapture. Primary
#6 just emptying; 7+8 not yet shed.
6) Imm. ♂ #56627, recapture. Wt.
181 gms. Primary #8 4/5 grown, still
sheathed. Released outside the pen.
7) Ad. ♀ BLACK. 172 gms. Primary
#9 1/4 grown, #10 just emptying.
1155 - Counted a total of 16 birds
remaining in the pen, accurately.
This means there are still 7 in the
GREEN brood (June 25 hatch).
Oct. 21. 0805 No birds in the trap in
the Beharia Lab. pen; at 0846 took
one bird: Ad. ♀, GREEN, wt. 194 gms.
Primaries 9+10 still sheathed, #10
about 4/5 grown. 0900. Observed the
birds without disturbing to this time;
