When released this bird flew up to the fencing in the pen & clung near the top for a few seconds before returning to the ground - same behavior previously seen (but not noted), perhaps in the same bird. 6) Ad ♀ #56605 recapture. 1630. Two birds in trap in the pen - #56625 and 56626 ♂♂, recaptured. Oct. 18. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County. 0930. Birds in the Behavior lab. pen flew into the air with slight dis- turbance when I serviced the trap inside the pen, and several collided with the top and sides, though not very severely.
