Wing molt similar to the two [illegible] the silver brood. Outer rectrices still retained, the others less than half grown.
5) Adult ♀ #56605, wt. 176 gms. No. 9 and 10 primaries about ½ & grown, three outer rectrices still sheathed, outer rectrix less than half grown.
6) Imm. ♂ #56625 recaptured.
Oct.15. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda Co.
1730. Two birds in the open trap:
1) Imm. ♂, wt 181 gm., banded #56627.
Primary #8 little over half grown, #7 near full size, still sheathed, molt otherwise appears complete.
2) Imm. ♂ wt 175 gm., banded #56628
Molt exactly as in the first bird.
Oct.16. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda County.
0820. Following birds in the trap in the Behavior lab. pen:
1) Imm. ♂ #56625 recapture.
2) Imm. ♂, wt. 171 gms. Held for Zoology Dept. Molt complete except for sheath on 8th primary, which was not quite full length.
3) Imm. ♀ BLUE recapture.
