mut belly patch developing on one. A ♀
foraging in A-10. 0928 A 7th immature
Crunched in grass in A-10. 0929 Silver
family (pair and 4 chicks) moved
along fence from E-10 to C-10. 0933
Orange ♂ and one of his young, and
Red ♂ started feeding in same area
as Green Wood (A7 to A9). Birds
glimpsed in B-10 probably yellow ♀ and
the other Orange immature. 0935
Persistent assembly calls outside the
pen - a ♀ walked across the top of
the pen, and a number of birds
could be seen just outside the SW
fence, nearest the birds feeding in-
side. Again today all the birds ex-
cept small young and their parents
are loosely grouped. 0942 A ♀
with downy chicks glimpsed crossing C-9,
only 2 chicks seen for sure. 0951 Silver
family crossed back to E-7. 1005 Blade ♀
with 6 chicks (all 1-week old) crossed
from C-7 to E-6, feeding in the
clearing. This is the same number of
young chicks into her yesterday,
