After a moment he gave a "Kew-r" call and ran very rapidly down slope into cover + gave several assembly calls. Blue ♀ remained by the fence + was joined by 2 ♂♂; all remained motionless . 1455. 4 ♀♀ in trap: banded - Imm. ♀ 56611 Imm. ♀ 56612 Ad ♀ 56613 Imm. ♀ Yellow1 (recapture). 3 released, Yellow ♀ retained for use of Animal Behavior studies. 1535. Group of birds in E corner; saw 4 ♂♂ at once; this accounts for all 8 birds today. Population by satib: 9 banded birds, previously released. Captured 1 banded to 3 unbanded, total population 36 birds. [illegible] birds not released (10), original 46 birds. 1545. Some antagonism, noted two short chases of one ♂ by another. 1550. Birds commencing to come into the open feeding on grain. Red ♂ and Blue ♀ together (both immature). Yellow ♀ joined them. 1555 all birds became motionless for 7 minutes,
