McMillan Ranch, San Luis Obispo Co. 1736. 13 nearly grown young, with 1 a 2 adult ? who appeared to join with them, after having preceded them to water by two minutes. One ? also came to water about this time from the same direction. 1739 10 of the above with 2 adult ?' passed the water trough going up-canyon. 1740 3 others of same group with 1 adult male passed water trough, went up-hill. A ? is crouched low, or lying in the dust in shade of a low rock wall, for the last 4 minutes, then crossed fence & walked uphill alone. 1743. Pair with me nearly grown ?. 1750 3 Pairs, no young. 1755 A pair, no young. 1800 Only a few calls being heard, left blind. — Summary of breed counts today: Marion Spring: a.m. 83 ad./343 young. 68 adults w/o young p.m. 13 ad./55 young. 11 adults w/o young.
