appeared to be somewhat smaller
than half grown. At 1826 the family
group, followed by two other pairs, moved
up the ridge to the left, while another
pair without young approached on the
slope of the hill from the left.
1830 a pair without young approached
from the left (probably not one of the
pairs previously counted), crossed
over close trough, and returned
without going to water. 1836 This
(presumably) pair returned and drank
as most cattle left the immediate
neighborhood of the trough. 1846. A pair
walked up the hill alongside the
blind to forage in the pasture; a
ginger I was also in this area.
1855. A pair crossed the canyon and
foraged uphill directly past the
blind (did not approach water, where
one calf was still lapping water from
the inlet pipe.) At 1909 this calf finally
left the water trough. At 1917 two pairs
came down the canyon from the left,
and ran up hill (one pair each side)
as the same calf returned for another
drink. Ended observations.
