The second pair fed along the road then flew to the quail enclosure, along with a dringer male - more squill calls. Two other pairs appeared at the edge of the large enclosure, and one pair also flew to the quail enclosure. There were many squill calls, and quail moving in and out of the enclosure - 4 pairs at once on lower side of enclosure, with one chase claimed, and one pair flying off. Another pair walked back across the road into the large enclosure. 1515 Most birds out of eight, 278 or fence posts. 1518 A third ? flew to perch on the third fence post from the first, the latter returning to cover in a few seconds. Male on fan cover also down shortly. 1525 Two pairs and a ? appeared feeding along road just below ? perched on post. One ? gave squill call as the others came near.
