Farnsworth Letter 967 California condor Eben McMillan Oct. 7, 1964 Letter received in mail today from Mrs. Eulyn Farnsworth of Glennville dated Oct. 6, 1964, reads as follows. Condor traffic (observed that is) has been almost non-existent but I am becoming more convinced that if a person were at a good vantage point for all the daylight hours, hardly a day would pass without one or more passing by. 9/8/64 2:25 p.m. Six circled over barn briefly. Wasn't able to see which direction they headed out. 9/24/64 8:00 a.m. One perched in bent pine. 9/24/64 5:30 p.m. One circling that ridge (Ridge by bent pine) & 9/30/64 9:50 a.m. Two adults sailing high and level over Rock Corral headed just slightly North of West. (Probably leaving Country because of heavy private plane activity on Pioche Fire). Buzzards are still leaving at about one week intervals, although all the resident group has gone. 9/19/64 one flight stayed overnight in Jack Lavers Flat on Poco Creek. Then, 9/28 another group stayed overnight in the trees Northwest of our house. They left the next morning without visiting the boneyard. sincerely Evelyn
