California Condor Elen McMillan 6 Sept. 1964
at 2:30 p.m. Today Gregory saw Two Condor in
the Palo Prieta Canyon 1/2 mile Southeast of the Red
Hatfield Choke. He said both birds showed white
under the wings but they were beyond the distance
where he could see the color of the heads.
Gregory said the two Condor appeared to come up
from a side canyon that comes in from the north
side of the main canyon at this point. They
circled getting considerable elevation and
then left towards the Cholame Flats.
