Glenmille 875 California Condor Glen McMillan 3 September 1964 Mile southwest of our Camp. Circled two or three times to get elevation, then crossed the valley north-east and lit in the top of a small Oak tree near where the Bull Condor lay on a ridge tops ¾ mile north of Fumsworth Pits. Several Turkey vultures were scattered in the tree-tops near where this bird lit. During the last hour and concurrent with the seeing of the three young Condors, guns could be heard firing down the valley. Dove season was in its 3rd day. The vultures or Condors seemed to pay no attention to these noises. The Sub-Adult Condor that lit in the Oak near where the Bull Condor lay is the same bird I saw yesterday that had the protrusion on its head near the base of the upper mandible (Lae margin) and the small spots in the secondary wing feathers. The Sub-Adult that came from East Pine and lit in Oak, now dropped down on ground near Cold Springs at 10:20 A.M. I left slowly to watch when this Condor completed feeding as well as to keep an eye on the Black Bird that had, at 10:22 flown from pine across from us and lit in another Pine that stands about ¾ of a mile due south of our Camp and in another draw from the one the dead pit is in. I hiked towards Bull Condor to see if I could get a color shot of the sub-adult Condor that had lit -
