California Condor Edwin Millum 2 Sept. 1964
another pine where it seemed to have considerable trouble
keeping balanced on the small limb it chose. Two
minutes later I heard this young Condor fly a short
distance and crash-land in some tree — which I could
not tell due to the gathering darkness.
Raven appeared from the hillside when all the
Vultures and the Condor were roosting for some
time after dark. I hear, on occasion, sounds
of wings flapping but think it was Vultures
flapping at one another.
