California Condor ben mc millan 15 March-1963 Talked to The William Thomason and his wife Today at the High-school Baseball game in Shandon. Mrs. Thomason is the Daughter of Henry Ludeke (late) of Parkfield and they still live on the Mustang Canyon Ranch where in Years back Henry Ludeke saw Condor at various times, Mr. Thomason has never observed a Condor but his wife said she saw several Condor about Two Years ago in Mustang canyon, 7 miles North of Parkfield, Monterey County, Calif. Freeman has not seen Condor on the Hancock Ranch in the last Two Years, since he has owned it. Freeman knows Condor from having observed them on the Bockhorn Ranch at the head of the San Juan River, in S.L.O.-6, Calif. at 9:30 p.m. I called Layton Hicks, in Three Rivers, California. Mr. Hicks, 9 was told by Peter Jordan of M.I.V.Z., has a timber stand in the Grouse Valley area above Three Rivers, and it is from this area that Mr. Hicks has Observed Condor on many Occasions. Mr. Hicks told me tonight that he always sees Condor in the Grouse Valley area in the Summer and late spring months and that he will gladly help us in any way he Can in the present Condor Survey.
