Navejo
California Condor Count.

5 March 1963
"for if I tell Jake about seeing a Coyote he would
dash up there with some Poison and clean them (Coyotes)
out; and I don't think they do any harm; and besides I like
to see and hear them." end Quote.
I returned to Navejo Ridge and checked the dead sheep
west of Shepherds' Trail. Found 3 Raven and 7 Buzzard
still feeding on this Carcass at 4:00 P.M.-
The day commenced quite Cold and miserable, but clouded
up with a wild North wind blowing. At sunset it was cold again
but the clouds remained.
