California Condor. Eben McMillan 26 October 1963 I talked with several men who gathered at the Priest Valley schoolhouse to see my picture "The Shandowhills" this evening. although all had heard of Condor and some had seen Condor in years past, none had seen Condor, except George Newsom, for at least twenty years. A Mr. Palmer, who had lived out his fifty fours years, all in the Priest Valley area, had heard of Condor being seen in this area in the early days, by his father, who had settled in this area long years ago. But he had never seen one himself. Mrs. Lee, who with Mr. Lee had lived in the Priest Valley area for more than fifty years, had never seen Condor. From this information, I doubt that Condor have used the Priest Valley area as a feeding ground for many years.
