California Condor.
Eben McMillan
15 October 1963
flew to another rock and perched. The cow remained near the Calf
Carcass. Jim Ben Williams' wife walked up a draw near this
location where the Cow, the Calf Carcass and the Condor were, about
4:30 p.m. The Condor flew from the rock upon seeing her and it
continued to circle the area for a considerable time before
disappearing.
Jim Ben Williams also told me that two fellows who live near Woody
had seen three Condor a few days ago. They also said they had seen
a dead Condor near a bad bunk which they tossed into a pile
of rocks nearby, this about three weeks ago.
I promised Jim Ben Williams that I would be at his house
by 8:30 A.M. tomorrow to investigate the dead Condor story.
