We went to the office of Mr. Hansen, superintendent of U.S. Forest Service Los Padres National Forest and his assistant, Mr. Crouch, at 10:00 A.m., where we went over matters relative to our relationship with these people during the course of the Condor Study. Hansen & Crouch, according to their testimony, had not as yet received word from Carl Buckheitler of Nat. Audubon Society, even Though Gan had received his Carbon Copy Last Saturday Friday Feb. 8-. This, as expected, caused some misunderstanding to begin with but these were quickly straightened out and a further constructive meeting was the result of our trip. Three inches of rain falling at Paso Robles and a like amount on down the coast to Los Angeles. One inch fell in Soda Lake area of Carrissa Plains. Heavy rains fell in the Fillmore area.
