Feb. 1963 People called Bruce Strathorn who lives in Simi Calif. from John Taft home in Camarillo, arranging for both 9am and 9 to meet him at 10:00 A.m. on Thursday, Feb.7, 1963, in order to talk over the matter of him helping in the observation of Condor in the Simi area. It was very warm last night in the Santa Rosa valley where John Taft lives and during the afternoon, today, the temperature rose to 89 degrees. a sultry wind blew most of the day from the Southeast. Bruce Strathorn stated that the recent rainfalls, since Feb. 30, 1963, dropped one and one-half inches of rain in the Simi area—this being the first rain here since one-half inch of rain fell in late November, 1962. The total rainfall for the season to date there is only Two inches,
