Antelope Valley-
California Condor Eben Mcmillan 21 August 1
Night on Northwest Side Antelope Valley near the fence line
of Tejon Ranch. Even though my camping place was as far
removed from a well-traveled road as one could get in
that area, nevertheless the ground where I camped was
actually littered with shotgun and rifle shells of all
Glass bottles had been shot at until they were Scott
in small pieces all over the area. Any Can or other
object that would pass for a target in this area were
riddled with bullet and shot holes. I doubt that one could
find an area more fully shot-up than is the case in th
Northwest Antelope Valley area.
One Shepherd claimed to have seen many large bli
on the carcass of a dead sheep. I doubt that he was truth
in this claim for he was very vague about where and when
the observation occurred. At least I will not use
it seriously unless this shepherd proves himself more relab
in the future.
