California Condor
Eben Hemmilian
15 June 19
We drove to Lancaster for gasoline, then to Rosomond and
Tehachapi via Oaks Creek Canyon. We chatted with Two
Shepherds who were tending flocks south of Moundrigh who
did not think they had seen any Condor. They said very
of their Sheep die this time of the Year. They will
be on the lookout for Condors. We visited Two other Shepherds
who herd flocks for Mendelburg, they were south of the Town
of Tehachapi and had not seen Condor. We then drove into
the Cummings valley, south and west of Tehachapi, and
returning to Highway 466 drove to White Wolf Pass. It
is on West foot of Bear Mountain and camped for the
night. No Condor seen today.
